Apparently John McCain was some sort of an Ace during his time in the Navy. During his flying career his destroyed 5 aircraft, all his own, and earned the nickname of "Ace" from his squadron mates in Vietnam. His instructors also had some interesting things to say about his flying as well, none of which was very flattering.
