A CALL FOR TOLERANCE:On Saturday, 11 October 2008, a McCain campaign rally in Davenport, Iowa was opened with a prayer by one Rev. Arnold Conrad who said the following:"There are millions of people around this world praying to their god, whether it's Hindu, Buddha, Allah, that his [McCain's] opponent wins, for a variety of reaons. And Lord, I pray that you would guard your own reputation because they're going to think that their god is bigger than you if that happens. So I pray that you would step forward and honor your own name in all that happens between now and election day." Is there one 'god' for McCain and another 'god' for Obama and the rest of us? Is this an election or is it a holy war? Apparently Sen. McCain and Rev. Conrad need to be reminded that there is only one God and that He made us all and loves us without exception.Peace!
