A few people in the Town of Old Saybrook, Connecticut several years ago had a dream about resurrecting an old Town Hall which sat smack dab in the middle of Main street. Fast-forward that dream is soon to be realized with the opening of the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.

The Many Lives of the Old Town Hall in Old Saybrook
Since it’s beginning in 1910, the building which will house the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, has seen a lot of life. This may be a little known fact to many, but it turns out from the mid 1980’s into the early 90’s the balcony of the theatre was once home to a Ham Radio repeater for the “Shoreline Amateur Radio Club.”
