In LA-06 many Democrats have been dismayed to see Cazayoux vote with the GOP again & again. His record is already astonishingly bad, the 8th worst of any Democrat in the House. On substantive issues like the war and FISA, Cazayoux scores a dismal 37.50 out of 100. Democratic state Senator Michael Jackson is running as an Independent.

Donna, on the other hand, voted against war funding and against FISA and has a 100% perfect voting record. Let's elect Regina Thomas and give Donna some competition

There may be a disaster coming in the 2008 election in November for the Republican Party. The recent defeat in the special election for Louisiana's Sixth Congressional District where Republican Woody Jenkins lost to Democrat Don Cazayoux is just the latest confirmation of how precarious the situation has become.

There are now 797 total superdelegates with the inclusions of Foster, Cazayoux and Childers. 2,026 is what's needed to nominate now -- one higher than yesterday after Dems won the congressional seat in MS-1.

Michael Jackson says that the Louisiana Dem. Party & the DCCC goons in Washington backed Cazayoux in the primary and hampered his ability to raise campaign funds. That's standard operating procedure for the Inside the Beltway party petty tyrants when they want to knock off a progressive or grassroots candidate. Jackson may run as an independent.

The double shot of bad news [a bad, out-of-touch message and no money] had one veteran Republican House member worrying aloud that the party’s electoral woes-- brought into sharp focus by Woody Jenkins’ loss to Don Cazayoux in Louisiana on Saturday-- have the House Republican Conference splitting apart in “everybody for himself” mode.

Cazayoux won in LA-06 Saturday because he stuck to core Democratic economic issues, emphasizing his support for the middle class in terms of unions, trade policy, health care, etc- & emphasizing his differences with the mistrusted and disliked Bush Regime policies & the rubber stamps congressional enablers.
