Barley The Ventriloquist with her sock puppet Character - Wendy The Wood-Dragon - singing Barley's sad, satiric song 'Fairytales (My Heart's In An English Castle)' which made it to the UK Songwriting Contest Semi-Finals this year.Hello! - I'm Barley The Ventriloquist with another of my Puppet Characters: 'Wendy The Wood-Dragon' - who entertains with me at Parties & Events! I have quite a few other characters too - and I hope to upload another 'demo' showing these very soon! This was a demo recording made at my 'PUPPETZ!' Studio in West Sussex for clients and agents - just to give an idea of the sort of silly, gentle humour me and my puppet-friends enjoy! The accompanying background music is actually the instrumental introduction of my own Original Comedy & Children Song 'The ClockWork Clown', which I also perform with several of my other Songs along with favourites from The Golden Age of The Great British Music Hall - dueting of course with my puppet characters! As 'Barley The Ventriloquist' I perform with a variety of different puppet characters and am available for Childrens Parties, Events & Fundraisers in London and the south of England. Amazingly, I am also an Award-Winning Children's Comedy Songwriter (!- were they mad?) and play piano, melodica, saxophone and accordion - all quite atrociously! I have a Full Enhanced Disclosures Certificate for Working with Children and Vulnerable Adults and enjoy working with both the very young and very old.
