How to Crash Power Director 7 build 2227cThis is mostly an overview of a technical problem. Sorry to disappoint you if you're expecting the usual special effects tomfoolery.Additional video courtesy of Gimmeabreakman and Daichen. Also appearing, Hikosaemon.I had planned for this little project to be more of a surprise. Sorry to show you the presents before Christmas like this. I promise I'll have the finished film up just as soon as this crash is fixed or worked around.Basically, you try to include three clips as PiP objects with a colorboard background. You can play the movie with the first two clips, but as soon as you so much as play the third or try to move it right or left on the timeline, Power Director 7 build 2227c either crashes or locks up.The different frame rate on the third clip stands out. Not sure if that's significant.First clip file:File Format: AVCHDFile Size: 177.85 MBVideo:Format: MPEG-4 AVCOriginal Length: 00:03:06:20Bit Rate: 6.73 MbpsResolution: 1440x1080Frame Rate: 29.97 fpsAspect Ratio: 16:9Audio:Format: Dolby DigitalSampling Rate: 48kHzBit Rate: 256KbpsChannel: StereoSecond Clip File:File Format: MP4File Size: 58.69 MBVideo:Format: MPEG-4 AVCOriginal Length: 00:02:36:24Bit Rate: 3.02 MbpsResolution: 640x480Frame Rate: 29.97 fpsAspect Ratio: 4:3Audio:Format: AACSampling Rate: 48kHzBit Rate: 128KbpsChannel: StereoThird Clip File:File Format: QuickTimeFile Size: 87.64 MBVideo:Format: QuickTimeOriginal Length: 00:01:16:00Resolution: 640x480Frame Rate: 30.27 fpsAspect Ratio: 4:3Audio:Format: QuickTimeSampling Rate: 48kHzChannel: StereoAlso, some facts about my PC: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236) Language: Japanese (Regional Setting: Japanese) BIOS: BIOS Date: 07/19/07 11:46:27 Ver: 08.00.12 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 2048MB RAM Page File: 951MB used, 2987MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 8800 GTX DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Display Memory: 768.0 MB Current Mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: S2410W Monitor Max Res: 1920,1200 Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll Driver Version: 6.14.0011.8048 (English) DDI Version: 9 (or higher)Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 11/12/2008 14:54:00, 6148864 bytes
