La desventaja de disco radica en que es una pieza conceptual y como tal adolece, en ciertos momentos, de cierta monotonía y desconcierto. De todos modos, insisto en que los cánones musicales de System Shock navegan muy cercanos al death melódico sueco así que si pensáis en unas cuantas bandas de la zona os podréis hacer una idea aproximada de su sonido. Por línea general los cortes son medios tiempos, densos, pesados y bastante claustrofóbicos cargados de oscuridad con cierta atmósfera electrónica y mucho dramatismo, como es el caso de "A note and a gun".
