I used to be the typical citizen to draw my beliefs and conclusions off of what was on TV. Only until I met over 100 international students from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, China, Korea, Japan, Romania, etc, did I realize that I was stupid as all could be. After years of making friends and conversing about different nations, I try to tell people that watching the news is the WORST thing you can do to yourself. If you want real truths, read historic books on the civilization of whatever country you want to know about. Be skeptic, don't sit down on the couch and say "WHAT, I fu***** hate that country" just because of one sentence, one picture, etc. Listen to George Carlin, introduce yourself to foreigners, keep reading, asking questions, don't generalize. We represent America (if you're watching this and are from America, that is) and we should be knowledgeable AS WELL as patriotic, not just one of the two. So stop watching TV, make a difference in YOURSELF before you judge a civilization that is thousands of years older than young America. Countries like China and areas like the middle east have unfathomable historic culture that some Americans can't even begin to grasp even if they wanted to.And imagine, judging an entire culture and civilization from a random journalist who reports to a random woman who is working just to make some money. Open your eyes folks!!! Holla at your boy big daddy!
