. The Tip and Turn Table represents about 8 months work. It began with a 5 inch thick plank of Honduran Mahogany which I hand sawed into 4 pieces of wood. These were joined in such a way that the grain flows continuously, giving the appearance of a single plank top. All planing, sawing, shaping and fitting of joints was done by hand- the only machinery used was a lathe. The table is finished with multiple layers of shellac and wax.

Slow-Fox Jelly Roll Morton Kapelle Herbert Glad ( Herbert Fröhlich) Tri-Ergon TE 5008/M0500 Berlin early 1927 Herbert Fröhlich recorded for Vox and Tri Ergon some of his hottest sides. Tri Ergon had been one of the earliest light ray recording systems. It was introduced in 1922 by the innovators Vogt, Massolle and Engl. Later the Label Tri Ergon starded. The sound was first "cut" by light on an "movie"film, than transferded to an usual shellac record. It is funny to hear the hot "Black Bottom Stomp" as an Slow Fox! But Julian Fuhs recorded this tune in 1926 - also as an Slow Fox...! The trumpet player with Herbert Glad is maybe Wilbur Curtz.
