Another one of my favorite programs as a teen was Fuji TVs idol program "Yuyake Nyan Nyan" 夕やけニャンニャン which aired in Japan from 1985-1987 and featured the mega idol group おニャン子クラブ (Onyanko Club). Before Tsunku and his Hello! Project's Morning Musume, they were the first and foremost multi-singer, idol group. There were 52 members who were part of the group at sometime during their history but typically the group consisted of a core 16-24 girls.Several members later on went on to successful solo singing careers including Kokusho Sayuri, Watanabe Marina, Kudo Shizuka, Ikuina Akiko, Saito Makiko, Watanabe Minayo, Takai Mamiko, Fukunaga Satomi, Kawai Sonoko, Nitta Eri, Yoshizawa Akie and Iwai Yukiko (Yuuyu).
