A few friends and I got to the top of Hotel 71 and took a few pictures and enjoyed the view. The buildings you can see in this video include Smurfit Stone, Prudential 1 & 2, AON Center (formerly Standard Oil), and Carbide and Carbon. On July 5, 2008 this Smurfit-Stone truck was letting thousands of pieces of paper litter west bound Hwy 50 in Rancho Cordova, CA. The white car driving next to it turned out to be law enforcement and put the red light on the truck and pulled it over just as I was passing them.

A puppy is lucky to be alive after somehow making its way into a cardboard compactor. It started as a routine day at Smurfit-Stone recycling company in Evansville, Indiana last week. Tons of cardboard were coming in by the hour.

The two-alarm blaze was reported shortly after midnight at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., 417 37th Ave. Firefighters arrived at 12:06 a.m. to find "heavy dark smoke" billowing from the south side of the building, according to a news release.
