Metallica, whose leaked album Death Magnetic is coming out on September 12, launched a promotion on YouTube today that features the band's favorite covers of their songs that have been uploaded to the site. Drummer Lars Ulrich introduces their selections, apparently made over a two day period, in the video to the right.

Cole is a 13 year old guitarist with diverse musical interests. Grounded in blues, Cole’s music is also influenced by rock, folk, classical, and metal. Cole started playing the guitar at the age of 8 inspired by his parents’ album collection. Cole was recently featured on both Yahoo! and YouTube. He is the only musician in his family.

A judge dismissed charges Friday against the bicyclist who was body-checked and knocked to the pavement by a police officer in a widely viewed YouTube video...."This was a case where the officer's sworn testimony was contradicted by the videotape," Rankin said. "It raises serious questions about other cases that don't have the luxury of a videotape
