You have seen the pictures and the signs that say for display only. What does that mean exactly? This video is about me and my siblings under the hostile environment of my home. A father in whom I have completely and fully forgiven. Yet once physical and emotional abuse was inflicted on my beautiful mother, my siblings and I by my father. I incurred sexual abuse in the dark of night from the man in whom was meant to protect me and nurture me. This dillema is my own, but perhaps you will find some point of relativity between my case history and your own. I could be like someone you know or have known; I could even be like you. Three major parts to this story is the person, the problem and the prescription. My name is Ellie ... the person ... the problem was child abuse and all that this entails. The prescription ... Jesus. See after I analyzed the condition with an honest heart and after I came to fully understand the origin, it will take God's word to put the past under feet. I am no longer suffering the attacks of my past. Healing has found its way to my heart and mind. Yet I must say that this kind of trauma is as fresh today as it was the days it occurred. The roots of this problem went deep into my past but the prescription is the present word of God today! As you watch this video unfold along with my deep rooted message ... Jesus did not just call me by name .... Ellie. He spoke to everything feminine in me. He spoke to the song in me. He spoke to the lace in me and soft silk of every one of my sincere expressions. Like a crumbling rose, Jesus spoke to what I could and would have been. He spoke to the twinkle that still existed in my eyes when I was a child; to the girlish glow that makeup can never recapture. Jesus spoke to my God given uniqueness. He spoke to my gender! I had a personal war going on inside of me. Struggles that tainted many areas of my life. Healing cannot come to desperate person rummaging through others lives. One of the first things that a hurting person needs to break from is the habit of using others as a narcotic to numb the dull aching of an inner void. Instead of some superficial medication I came to a place of relying on Jesus to bring healing. Learning to love them but not need them ... now that is going to take God. I could go on and on about the the labels that satan ataches to victims of abuse. The worst being V-I-C-T-I-M. When they survive and they live to talk about it the world calls them victims when they see only that they survived and became stronger with that of which did not destroy them. This video ..these words are written to every husband who holds a woman every night, a child lost in space, a rosebud crushed before you met her, a broken arrow shaking in the deepest part of her. I write to every lady who hides beghind silk dresses and leather purses a terrible secret that makeup can't seem to cover and long showers will not wash. Some people call them abused children. Some call them victimized. Some call them statistics. But I call the broken! Whose hand is this that fondles the bare flat chest of a little girl? Whose fingers linger upon the flesh he helped to create? Why has the love that should have been his wives come to snuggle under daughter? Someone tell me how to rinse the feelings of fingers off my mind? This is not my cry ... it is the cry of children all over this country. This is the cry of wooried minds clutching dolls, riding bicycles ..little girls and even little boys who got more for Christmas then they could ever show n tell. Show me an adult with deep seated problems that you are trying to fight or correct and often rooted in the ashes of childhood experiences. How delicate is the touch of a surgeons hand. Who needs surgery under a butchering hack saw? As we ramble through the closets of a troubled mind ... we come to know we need a divine intervention. This video is meant to ooze compassion!
