Samsung thinks the Blu-ray disc format won't survive past 5 years, while Sony is betting the Blu-Ray disc format will be enough to drive sales for a full 10-year lifecycle. "I think it (Blu-ray) has 5 years left, I certainly wouldn't give it 10", said Andy Griffiths, director of consumer electronics at Samsung UK.
