Buddy Holly recorded the A-Side October 21, 1958 in New York, at the Coral Records Studios - Pythian Temple, with Buddy Holly: Vocal, Al Caiola: Acoustic Guitar, Sanford Bloch: String Bass, Ernest Hayes: Piano, Doris Johnson: Harp, Clifford Leeman: Drums, Abraham 'Boomie' Richman: Tenor Saxophone, Strings Orchestra: Violins (Sylvan Shulman, Leo Kruczek, Leonard Posner, Irving Spice, Ray Free, Herbert Bourne, Julius Held, Paul Winter), Violas (David Schwartz, Howard Kay), Cellos (Maurice Brown, Maurice Bialkin). The B-Side was recorded as a Demo, at Apartment 4 H, The Brevoort, Fifth Avenue, N.Y.C. - December 3, 1958, only Buddy and his Guitar. It was overdubbed for LP and single release January 1, 1960 - Coral Records Studio A -, with Andrew Ackers: Piano, David "Panama" Francis: Drums, Sanford Blocke: Bass, Donald Arnone: Guitar and The Ray Charles Singers: Backing vocals. Producer: C. John "Jack" Hansen. Both tracks were first released on this single, in the USA, June 1960. Both songs were written by Buddy Holly.The video is dedicated to Jackie (KFJackKF) who died on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the young age of 15. WE`LL MISS YOU!
