Now all you hardcore opera lover dont switch off straight away, have an open mind and just listen to this. One of my biggest hopes with my channel is to broaden your mind with the entire spectrum of music. Every so often there does occur a wonderful operaesk type of voice. This DOES NOT make them an opera singer, but yet they still can possess a beautiful tenor baritone etc voice. The most famous cases of this are Mario Lanza and Andrea Bocelli, I repeat, they are not opera singers but have operaesk voices.With that out of the way I present Tony Williams. Tony Williams had trained by singing in Church gospel groups, and his voice was a resonant piercing tenor, adored for its expressiveness and ease. He occasionally uses falsetto breaking into the counter tenor range. If you are not moved by this voice, you are surely one of the most close minded people on earth!

This DOES NOT make them an opera singer, but yet they still can possess a beautiful tenor, baritone etc voice. The most famous cases of this are Mario Lanza and Andrea Bocelli, I repeat, they are not opera singers but have operaesk voices.With that out of the way I present Roy Orbison. He is special because of his seamless legato, his light velvet coloring (like a very light Caruso timbre) and his effortless upper register. Because of his light mechanism, his top notes are miraculously easy and unforced. For stylistic reasons he occasionally uses falsetto, the effect also being quite beautiful. Hence the counter- tenor element.

Maniaci does not sing falsetto, nor does he have a baritone register, as counter-tenors do. On the other hand, he is whole and male(thank God for him). It is just that some quirk in his development led to all the appurtenances of puberty appearing except one – his larynx did not grow along with the rest of him.
