XDChapter 1*Beep Beep Beep Beep Be-*“Gah! Shut up!” I picked up my alarm clock and threw it across the room, and out the door……wow I thought that was closed…Oops. Next thing I knew I saw him come through the door. Why must he ruin my day as soon as I get up?“Uhmm I think you might need this” He said handing it to me with his stupid grin on his face. I hated that grin. I just wanted to punch him just to get it off his face. “Thanks. Like I wanted to get up tomorrow right?” He looked at me oddly “Are you saying you don’t want to be here?” Wow he does really have STML. “Grrr just get out so I can get dressed” With that he walked out with his hands above his head like he was sorry or something. Sorry for what. He hasn’t been sorry for anything since I got here.By now your probably wondering who I’m talking about. And most of all, who I am.Aheemmmm sorry. Its rude not to introduce yourself. I am Jennifer Alexis Jeraldi, Jenna for short. Oh, and that idiot was Joe Jonas. I live with the Jonas’s, the whole 6 of them.Mr. and Mrs. Jonas, Kevin, Nick, Frankie, and Idiot. [AN-They are not famous in this! XD]I am adopted. I have lived with them since I was 13 1/2. I am 15 years old, just turned 15 a week ago (Happy B-day to me :D) and I am a brunette. I am 5’4 and I am preppy/goth. What can I say, black is slimming. But nothing compliments black better then pink! Haha. Well enough about me, lets get on with the story. I walked down stairs when I got dressed to find Nick sitting on the couch watching Hannah Montana. I plopped down on the couch right next to him. “A little early in the morning to be obsessing over Miley don’t ya think?” I asked him jokingly. He just silently laughed and shook his head. He was my best friend, practically my brother. I was close to him, I really was. Kevin, he is the man. I can go to him for anything. I tell him all my problems, well Nick too, but Kevin I usually go to first. Joe, Joe can just jump off a cliff, or better yet, I will push him. Anyways….Me and Nick just sat in silence for a little while until a commercial came on and he broke the silence. “So, what did I hear crashing out of your room? Sounded like you killed somebody, or atleast tried” I could hear the sarcasm in his voice and it made me smile. “Oh nothing. It was just my alarm clock almost hitting Joe. But unfortunately it missed” He just smiled and I walked away to go eat breakfast. I had school and Kevin always drove me. Did I mention hes awesome? School went by another day another teacher yelling at me to stop passing notes. I got home and was bombarded by Frankie and Joe, oh yeah, and silly string. Lets not forget the friggin silly string!“GOTCHA!!” Joe yelled as he sprayed me with the string. I screamed and hid behind Kevin who had come in behind me. He got it in the face, good I might add.“YOUR DEAD!” I yelled as I chased both Joe and Frankie up the stairs. I was about to give them both the old one two, but Mr. Jonas was at the top of the stair case, frowning.Ohhhh, a kind of cliffhanger! What is Mr. Jonas frowning about? John told her he could not give her credit, as she did not have a charge account at his store.Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, "Do you have a grocery list?" Louise replied "Yes sir!""OKAY," he said, "put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries."Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down (on an old balance scale).The grocer staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, "I can't believe it."The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scale. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with great amazement. It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer which said: "Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands."The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and placed on the scale and stood in stunned silence. Louise thanked him and left the store. The customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to John as he said, "It was worth every penny of it."It was sometime later that John Longhouse discovered his scales were broken; therefore, only God knows how much weight prayers carry.Addendum -- Luke 12:22 (GNB) "Then Jesus said to the disciples, 'And so I tell you not to worry about the food you need to stay alive or about the clothes you need for your body'."
