Selena.J: What's wrong?N: I don't know, but apparently you've got a pretty good idea. If she's not willing to open up to me, fine, but...J: Where is she?N: In front of the hospital, last time I checked.J: I'll be right there. [hangs up, stuffs his phone in his pocket, and runs back to the hospital][in the hospital, with Demi, her mother, Miley, and Dr. Clancey (played by David Conrad from Ghost Whisperer)]D: [sits down] What is it, Dr. Clancey? What's wrong with my mother?Dr: Well, she's suffered severe head trauma. After permission from your father, we operated on her in hope of removing bone fragments from her brain and stabalyzing any bleeding.D: Did it work?Dr: Yes, the surgery was successful. But, as with any operation, there have been some complications.D: [tearing up] Complications?Dr: Ms. Lovato, if we hadn't operated, the odds were not in her favor. She was either going to die or suffer from severe permanent brain damage.D: But she won't, right? Because you operated?Dr: Not exactly. Those same risks applied to the surgery, but there was a 40% greater chance that she would live. The thing is, there was also chance of a coma.D: What's that?Dr: Basically, you're not dead, and your body functions enough to keep you alive...but you're still unconcious and unresponsive for a long period of time. And it can lead to...well...death.D: [crying] Is she in a coma?Dr: Well, the longer she remains unconcious, the better the chances are that it will happen. She was due to wake up over two hours ago.[outisde the hospital with Selena, and Joe walking over]S: [still sitting on the curb, crying uncontrollably]J: [comes and sits beside her] Hey...you okay?S: I...I'm turning into him. I can't stop it. I'm mad, and I...I'm turning into him!J: Your father?S: [nods] I was talking to Nick, and...he made me mad. I punched him.J: [surprised] Is he hurt?S: [mad] Now what does that matter? Its the fact that I HIT somebody! I of all people know that it hurts either way, wether it leaves bruises or not.J: Selena, stop blaming yourself.S: Give me one good reason.J: Selena, its not your fault! Its your asswhole father's fault! He shouldn't hurt you! You don't deserve it!S: Since when do people get the things they deserve? What do I deserve, huh? A nice house with a mom and dad, a brother, a sister, a few pets scattered around. My own warm bed, someone to talk to. Someone to get me off to school in the morning or tuck me in at night. You think that's what I deserve?J: Maybe not that specific, but-S: Yeah? Well, if I deserved that, why was I ripped away from it and sent here?Hope you liked it! The next episode is my favorite! :D
