Lorna and Jenna argue about Felicia, with Jenna saying that Lorna's take-charge attitude isn't going to play here. Lorna says she knows that Jenna has a problem with her and she accepts that, but they can't let it carry over into how they deal with Felicia. Jenna says Lorna is too hard on people and she's not going to let Lorna do that to Felicia. Lorna says she's not too hard on people, she just pushes them to do what they really want to do. Jenna insists that Lorna forces people to take on things they cannot handle. Lorna points out that this is a birthday party, not World War III. If Lorna is wrong about Felicia being able to handle this, then Felicia can come home. "Worse she went out?" Jenna asks. "No! That's not a solution!""What do you propose, that she stay here and hibernate?" Lorna retorts.No, Jenna is suggesting they stay there and talk, about Lucas or whatever else Felicia wants to talk about. Lorna says hand-holding is not her thing, and Jenna accuses her of hating hand-holding because she can't push the buttons and she isn't in control. Jenna says that Lorna can't treat Felicia the way she's been treating Dean. At the mention of Dean, the gloves really come off, and the sisters argue about Dean's street concert, Ace Records, Sam's concert scheduled for the same night as Dean's, and Lorna's belief that Jenna is trying to stick it to her by backing Dean instead of Sam, like she's supposed to since she's a partner in D&M. Jenna says that the concert is no secret, it was all Dean's idea, and that Dean shouldn't have to work under anyone's terms but his own, then suggests that Lorna come to Dean's concert because she might learn something.Felicia returns then, decked out in red and white and carrying a hat and purse. Lorna tells Felicia she passed inspection with flying colors, and Jenna offers to drive Felicia to Cass and Frankie's for the birthday party, but Felicia declines, saying both girls are too busy to drive her, and she's calling for a car because she wants to do this for Cass and for herself. Felicia is struggling with her writing, and Lorna is trying to get her out of the apartment to go to Cass and Frankie's house for Cass's birthday party. Felicia is resisting, saying that she's not in the mood to be social, and all she does is bring everybody down anyway; Cass should be celebrating, and he and Frankie shouldn't be fussing over Felicia, but that's what they'll do. Jenna returns home from class then, and Felicia and Lorna barely miss a beat in their argument to say "hi" to Jenna. Lorna reminds Felicia that Cass and Frankie only fuss because they love Felicia, and they invited her to Cass's birthday party because they want her there, so Lorna sternly tells Felicia to get her coat and her bag because Lorna is going to drive Felicia to the party. Felicia refuses, saying she's tired of people trying to cheer her up. Lorna frustratedly says fine, then Felicia can sit there and mope. Jenna gets involved at this point, telling Lorna to let Felicia decide what she wants to do. Lorna says that's the problem: she doesn't want to do anything. Jenna says pushing her isn't helping anything. Felicia angrily informs her daughters that "she" can speak for herself. Jenna apologizes, and assures Felicia that class went fine. Felicia was still sleeping when Jenna left for class, so Jenna asks if Felicia got any sleep last night. She says she got a little sleep. Jenna suggests that Felicia take a nap. Lorna asks why, because everything will be just as horrible when Felicia wakes up. Jenna retorts that it might be worse if Felicia is exhausted. Lorna counters that it's going to be worse if Felicia doesn't get up and go to Cass's birthday party. Felicia says maybe Lorna is right; she's never missed one of Cass's birthday parties before. Jenna says Cass will understand if Felicia's not up for it, and Felicia shouldn't push herself. This angers Lorna, who says no, Felicia shouldn't push herself, God forbid. Felicia should just sit in the apartment and wallow deeper and deeper. When Jenna tells Lorna to be more supportive, Lorna says she IS being supportive, but Jenna is being indulgent. Felicia breaks up the argument and goes inside to sort this all out all by herself, leaving her combative daughters to face off against each other in her living room. Jenna says she's just trying to do what's best for Felicia. Lorna knows that, but whatever Jenna was doing for Felicia right after Lucas died isn't working anymore, and while Lorna doesn't blame Jenna for that, Jenna doesn't have the market cornered on grief, either. When Jenna says they can't keep doing this, Lorna reminds her that Lorna offered to disappear, but Jenna and Felicia wanted her to stick around. Jenna says she didn't want Lorna to stay so they could fight, and she hates all of Lorna's suggestions because they're about pushing your feelings away and that's wrong. Lorna says that she and Jenna are never gonna see eye to eye on anything, but when it comes to Felicia, they'd better get it together, and fast. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
