Chapter Seven!POV (Casey)I invited Joe in for breakfast because I still wanted to talk to him. He made me laugh a lot and that made me feel better inside. Once we were inside my dad was sitting in the new living room reading his paper and drinking coffee. My mom was setting the table for the four of us. "Do you want me to show you around?" I asked Joe. "Sure." "Okay well, that's the kitchen and that's the living room." I said laughing. He glanced at both and then looked back at me. "Well I uh kind of need to change, I feel silly in these clothes." I said. I could already feel my face turning red. "That's fine I'll just wait for you in the kitchen." Joe said as he walked over to the table. I looked at him for another moment before dashing upstairs. I quickly ran around my room trying to figure out what would be best to wear, I finally decided on a pair of my favorite jeans and a pink top. I looked myself over in the mirror again before heading back downstairs. Joe was chatting with my mom as she placed the last of the plates on the table. "James breakfast is ready." My mom called out to my dad. We had eggs and pancakes. My mom and dad seemed to enjoy Joe's company, just as much as I did. After breakfast was over Joe and I offered to help clean up for my mom so that she could go and relax."That was a good breakfast." Joe said smiling at me. "Yeah my mom usually does make a good breakfast but she rarely does it. I'm more of a cereal eater." I said as I placed a clean dish into the cabinet. "Now that I've had breakfast with you and your family do you want to do something else today?" he asked. "Sure I'm up for anything." I said beaming up at him. "Great!" Joe said as we finished cleaning the last dish."What do you have in mind?" I asked as we walked out the front door. "Well since summer break is over in a week. Why don't my brothers and I show you around town?" he said. "Sure I love that!" I said. "We could show you your future school, the mall, maybe even hit the movies!" he said laughing. "Sounds awesome." "Let's just get Nick and Kevin though." Joe said. We walked towards their house where Joe showed me inside. Kevin and Nick had just finished eating breakfast too. "Hey Casey." Nick said. "Yeah what's up?" Kevin said smiling at me. "Joe said you guys would want to help show me around town." I said. "Yeah that'd be sweet." Nick said. "Okay then what are we waiting for?"
