I don’t know how Sup Pop Records could afford to use a Pieter Breughel painting as the cover art for the new Fleet Foxes CD, but they did. The 1559 painting titled “Netherlandish Proverbs” depicts a land populated with literal renditions of Flemish proverbs of the day. It’s an interesting cover choice but seems to work with their music.
