A day in the lives of student nurses- on duty and during breaks!NURSING DUTIES AS EXPERIENCED AND SEEN THRU THE EYES OF NURSING STUDENTS.This is a collection of the vids me and my team made during our hospital duties.The original team, composed of me, JR Delmendo, Joan Casin, Bernard Bautista, Lance Cadelina, Elaesa Elimanco, and Jayson Abriol-Santos, started this gig on the first quarter of 2007.During the test vid, which was taken in Fabella, our purpose was just to get a video souvenir of what we did as students. As we posted our second episode at You Tube, our perspective on the video changed due to the positive comments from internet viewers. Upon learning that there are actually people wanting to see even just a glimpse of what we do, we decided to give it to them. THE WARD has now become a video project to be produced in series whenever possible.Yes, we have viewers and subscribers from countries like the U.K., New Zealand, and the U.S.A. Some happen to be RN's who want to look back into what it has been like back when they were student nurses. Some watched to get a little more inspiration before they get into the field of healthcare. So far, as of July, 2008 we have produced 19 vids, with episode 19 coming out soon. March of 2007 was quite sad (if not difficult) for us since there has been a reshuffling of sections in our batch, disbanding the original group.Episode 5 covers the last days of the original team on duty at Kamuning Lying-in, while Episode 6 pays a video tribute to the original members.Episode 7 features the new team which is composed of me, Gerby Galanto, Cheenee Enaje, Monet Espinosa, and Sheena Cerda.Episode 18 features a one-time episode with a different set of cast members accompanying THE WARD mainstay Mitch Young. They are Nica Albite and Geoff Go.Many thanks to the clinical instructors who have permitted us to cautiously shoot (under the grounds of educational purposes), while carefully taking into account not to offend or disrupt patient privacy. No patient's identity will be featured here. No, you won't even see their faces (they'd be censored at least!). Should there be body parts or extremities shown, we've asked permission from them. Otherwise it's only us student nurses who will be in the limelight.Bear with us. We are student nurses and we also commit bloopers. What matters is that we (including you) learn from it. Also consider the differences on procedures being taught among differenct schools, and the set up we're at so take it easy on the reactions. :-)This is THE WARD series. A project which will now serve as a video journal for us student nurses. A reminder, and perhaps a glimpse into the lives of student nurses for those wanting to satisfy their curiosity about nursing. This is something we will look back to years from now- the things we did, the teammates we trained with, the instructors who passed on their skills, the shallow humor and horseplay done during breaks to vent out stuffs. Brahman is the unchanging, infinite, immanent, and transcendent reality which is the Divine Ground of all matter, energy, time, space, being, and everything beyond in this Universe. The nature of Brahman is described as transpersonal, personal and impersonal by different philosophical schools. In the Rig Veda, Brahman gives rise to the primordial being Hiranyagarbha that is equated with the creator God Brahmā. The trimurti can thus be considered a personification of hiranyagarbha as the active principle behind the phenomena of the universe. The seers who inspired the composition of the Upanisads asserted that the liberated soul (jivanmukta) has realized his identity with Brahman as his true self (see Atman (Hinduism)).The word "Brahman" is derived from the verb brh (Sanskrit:to grow), and connotes greatness. The Mundaka Upanishad says:Om- That supreme Brahman is infinite, and this conditioned Brahman is infinite. The infinite proceeds from infinite. Then through knowledge, realizing the infinitude of the infinite, it remains as infinite alone.The Supreme Cosmic Spirit or Absolute Reality called Brahman (not to be confused with the Knowledge god Brahmā) is said to be eternal, genderless, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and ultimately indescribable in human language. The sage-seers of the Upanishads had fully realised Brahman as the reality behind their own being and of everything else in this universe. They were thus Brahmins in the true sense of the word. These rishis described Brahman as infinite Being, infinite Consciousness and infinite Bliss (satcitananda). Brahman is regarded as the source and essence of the material universe. In its purest reality it is unmanifest (Nirguna Brahman) and thus beyond being and non-being. The Rig Veda records that in its initial manifestation (Saguna Brahman) as pure primordial Being Brahman is Hiranyagarbha (lit. golden womb), a fertile substrate (which Radhakrishnan calls the 'world-soul') out of which all worlds, organisms and even Gods and other divine beings (devas) arise:"Great indeed are the devas who have sprung out of Brahman." — Atharva VedaNirguna Brahman corresponds to the concept of 'Godhead' and Saguna Brahman to God as the Primordial Being.It is said that Brahman cannot be known by material means, that we cannot be made conscious of it, because Brahman is our very consciousness. Brahman is also not restricted to the usual dimensional perspectives of being, and thus enlightenment, moksha, yoga, samadhi, nirvana, etc. do not merely mean to know Brahman, but to realise one's 'brahman-hood', to actually realise that one is and always was of Brahman nature (similar or identical with the Mahayana concept of Buddha Nature).[dubious -- discuss] Indeed, closely related to the Self concept of Brahman is the idea that it is synonymous with jiva-atma, or individual souls, our atman (or soul) being readily identifiable with the greater soul (paramatma) of Brahman.Generally, Vedanta rejects the notion of an evolving Brahman since Brahman contains within it the potentiality and archetypes behind all possible manifest phenomenal forms. The Vedas, though they are in some respects historically conditioned are considered by Hindus to convey a knowledge[1] eternal, timeless and always contemporaneous with Brahman. This knowledge is considered to have been handed down by realised yogins to students many generations before the vedas were committed to writing. Written texts of the Vedas are a relatively recent phenomenon.
