Excited media jumped on the bandwagon. Senator Obama's home state is right next door. McCain can't take Indiana and a lot of prior red states for granted.

If one analyzes the situation in detail, state by state, the only state that voted Democratic in 2004 in which McCain seems to be competitive today is Michigan. The states that Bush won in 2004 in which Obama is competitive are numerous - Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, New Mexico, Colorado, Virginia, and maybe Nevada, North Carolina, and Montana...

"20 million voting-age citizens in our country right now are without driver’s licenses. In Indiana, 12 nuns were turned away from voting booths during the 2008 presidential primary because they lacked state identification. ID regulations like these draw attention to the growing ID divide between those who have identification, and those who don't."

North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana? The Republicans in these traditionally red states are looking blue about John McCain and it might affect the color of the state in November. If the election were held today, Barack Obama would steal 73 electoral votes from states that went Republican last year, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Iowa, & more.

The Field’s analysis of exit poll data from March 4 to June 3, shows that 15 percent of Clinton’s vote during that period came from pro-McCain voters pranking the system, mostly at the urging of Limbaugh. That is 990,000 votes and delivered to Clinton victories in at least two primary states that she would have lost without them: Indiana and Texas.

Hillary has beaten Barack Obama in yet another lopsided vote. This time in Puerto Rico, where the former first lady beat the upstart senator from Illinois by a two-to-one margin. Coming on the heels of other decisive victories, including Indiana and a shellacking in Kentucky and West Virginia, and with Obama’s victories getting fewer and farther...
