You should skip this movie and rent it if you really need to. Just don't support movies like this one that take the superhero movie genre into the quality-abyss that would have been ok a few years ago. If Hancock was made a few years ago, then it would have been taken as ok; but with Iron Man, Hulk, and the Batman franchises breathing quality back.

Looks like a lot of people didn't care for Hancock. Not sure what they were expecting. Here's a great review for it pointing out the social allegory and strong performance by Will Smith by an Independent Film Critic who found it nearly as good as Iron Man. Perhaps some people missed the point?!? Anyway, if you really liked it, you're not alone.

Will Smith is known as Mr. July 4th. Most of his big films come out during this week and quite frankly all of them are great. Smith’s latest film, Hancock, is another film to add onto his successful list of roles. Hancock may not rank higher than this summers other big film, Iron Man, but it’s pretty close.

The Dark Knight is a worthy and entertaining sequel any fan of Batman will love. Iron Man is still the best comic book movie so far this year but Batman is great entertainment. I didn’t enjoy the ending and I thought the script got too heavy at times.

I have not watched the movie yet (coming soon to a theater near you) but I have played the movie tie-in on the Nintendo DS. Yeah, you might say that it is another month and yet another movie tie-in but I’ve noticed that Wall-E is following the same trend as Iron Man DS and Speed Racer The Video Game.
