Governor Palin who described herself as, "Just your average hockey Mom" will be a heartbeat away from the most powerful office on the planet. And McCain was questioning Obama's qualifications? I agree with the author's suggestion that a candidate's family members should be kept off the podium during conventions unless they have politically relevant reason to be there (e.g., the spouse is a former president). I was a little embarrassed on the Obama's behalf, especially when they put Barack and the kids on at the end.
