"Welcome Back to the Barrio," the urban drama directed by Jaime Mariscal and produced by Mindlight Films will be available on DVD September 16th, 2008 at retailers across the US. The DVD's, released by Southern California's LAGUNA is expected to reach most retail stores including Blockbuster and Hollywood Video as well as numerous on-line stores.

Ely Buendia’s operation successful
Some of you don't know this but I'm an avid fan of Ely Buendia. So it was a relief knowing that his 3rd angioplasty was a success. (In 2007, Ely also suffered a heart attack while his new band Pupil was performing in Laguna. He underwent two angioplasty procedures at the PHC.)

The runner-up from Top Chef 2, Marcel Vigneron, was arrested in Laguna Beach on Saturday for a DUI. Vigneron was originally pulled over for speeding but it was quickly realized that he was driving under the influence. He was released on $2,500 bail.
