The Virginia Beach-based advertising firm, Seventh Point, is being forced to close 3 of its 4 field offices and let go of 9 employees.The move comes as a result of the company losing its major customer, the Popeye's chain, which it had handled for 20 years. AFC Enterprises of Atlanta, Seventh Point's parent company, pushed for the office closures.With the loss Popeye's, the company no longer needs to be spread out in markets across the country. Instead, AFC wants to consolidate agencies.Popeye's was a $10 million dollar account, and put Seventh Point on the map. I am not sure I agree with all of these predictions, especially some of the “leaning” states. For example, as between these two guys, Virginia would be solid red. It may also be more accurate that leaning blue states like Pennsylvania are really, leaning red. McCain could potentially blow him out.
