After a few people successfully answer the questions of how long the 100 Years War was and what the 10 Commandments are, he plunges into the final question. He offers $5 to someone who can prove to him that they are a good person. A man named Steven accepts the challenge. Joshua asks him some basic questions such as have you ever told a lie, have you ever stolen anything and have you ever lusted after anyone. Steven insists that although he is guilty of lying and lusting, he is a good person because he has repented. Alan also engages in dialogue with Steven by explaining that before we were even born, sin entered the human race through Adam because of his sin. As a result of this, the human race became sinful by nature. We can do nothing to save ourselves from Hell. Christ has to help us and his atoning sacrifice on the cross enables us to have the opportunity for eternal life. Alan cited Romans 5:19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous."
