During the opening minutes of Argentina’s semi-final loss to Team USA in Beijing, Ginobili injured his left foot in a play away from the ball and did not return to action. Two months earlier, he had injured the very same spot in his leg during the NBA Playoffs but improved enough to be eligible to play in the Olympics.

Iguodala was the ninth overall pick in the 2004 draft. He averaged 19.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.1 steals in 82 games last season.
