Here is the 2008 Belmont Stakes won by Da'Tara, denying the heavily favored Big Brown the triple crown. Here is full video of the race, beginning to end, with footage at the end of Big Brown galloping on the stretch and being booed by the fans at Belmont for the big dissapointment. Yes, that's me talking :P sorry for the cursing.By the way, only reason I booed is well everyone else was, and I was just mad no triple crown for the 30th year in a row. Was my first Belmont Stakes and probably last and I wanted to see history. No dissrespect to Big Brown or horse racing, I wanted Big Brown to win.

I sort of wish that Richard Dutrow, Big Brown’s trainer, had started him onto the path to the Kentucky Derby much earlier in his two-year old season. It would have been interesting to see how he would have fared running in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile against another top speed horse, War Pass.
