"HEAVEN" AND "THE LOVELY BONES" MOVIE I wrote the song "Heaven" to be considered for the soundtrack of "The Lovely Bones" - a new Hollywood movie by Oscar winning director Peter Jackson ("Lord Of The Rings") which is currently in production and stars Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon. I was inspired to write "Heaven" after reading "The Lovely Bones" novel by Alice Sebold, which the film is based on. "The Lovely Bones" movie is set for US theatrical release on October 2009, which seems a long way away, I know! They work so far ahead with film production schedules and release dates.I've been in touch with Peter Jackson's office in New Zealand several times now, where the film is being shot on location. As a journalist, I've been granted an interview with Peter Jackson. This will take place closer to the film's release date. I'll be speaking with Mr Jackson for the Planet Syndication press agency in London who syndicate my showbiz interviews to magazines and newspapers internationally. I'm pretty excited about talking with this amazing director who seems to be a very interesting guy!As a songwriter, I feel that "Heaven" would best be performed by a young female singer. "The Lovely Bones" storyline is about a teenage girl living in Heaven. I'm thrilled that popular American teen singer Catriona would like to record the song. While I was one of the first to note that Peter Jackson had acquired to the rights to Alice Sebold's novel The Lovely Bones and was looking for a studio to get behind a film adaptation, I'm bummed that my sleeping late this Saturday morning cost me in finding out that DreamWorks has sunk $65 million into the project just to get the rights to it.
