*Kevin's POV*After I was rudely Kicked out of Leighton's house I drove to the shop. I needed to blow off some steam so I always lie to go and fix cars. Something about twisting a screw or a bolt so tight, releases so much energy, especially when you picture Leighton's father's neck as the bolt. But I as much as I wanted to keep strangling the bolt, I had a desire to see Leighton. I needed her. I was addicted. She was my drug and I was hooked. I drove back to where I usually drop her off and parked my truck. In the dark I probably looked like a criminal, and to her father, I was. Not because I was stealing her daughter away from him, but because I was dirty, poor and had no respect from them. I got to the back of the house and saw a light on up stairs. It had to be her. I hopped onto the deck quietly, and climbed up onto the roof that was nice and low to the ground. Like a pro, I was up to the window in no time, climbing in."Leighton its your prince charming here to sa...oh my god. What the fuck happened!" I had seen the blood all around her and she was curled up with her head on her knees. I ran beside her and wrapped my arms around her. "What happened!!" I quietly screamed at her."I lost it...I..." She was sobbing and it was hard to make out what she was saying."Lost what?""I lost...Our baby. It's gone. I lost it." Our?"Wh..what? our baby? We have a baby!" I was hysteric at this point. I didn't know what to do...mourn OUR baby, or be angry that she never told me.'NO! WE HAD A BABY! UNTIL THAT MOTHER FUCKER MURDERED IT!" She screamed slash sobbed at me. She had gotten off the bed during her shouting and know she collapsed crying on the floor clutching her empty womb."Leighton I'm so sorry." But no matter how many time I comforted her, or how many times I said 'I'm sorry', she never said or did anything back. It was like she went from 19 year old bitch, to 2 year old handicap. I didn't know what to do. Once again. So I did what my mom would have wanted me to do. Tell her parents.I climbed out of the window and walked to the front door. This is probably the stupidest thing I could have done but it was the right thing. I guess I should have thought about what I was going to say first but my fist was already making contact with the door. A quick 10 seconds later, her father answered the door. But only 2 seconds later, did he slam it in my face."Mr Brown!" I said while violently knocking. "Mr. Brown I know you hate me but your going to hate yourself if you leave your daughter up there." A few seconds later he answered the door again."Look boy, I don't know if you've noticed but we don't want you around here, we don't even want you touching our cars anymore, so why don't you just leave and stay out of my families life. And by the way, I don't know if Leighton told you, but she's got a boyfriend, and it isn't you." He went to shut the door but I stopped it with my for arm."and I don't know if you've noticed but that 'boyfriend' of yours just killed her baby. He just killed OUR baby. And now your daughter, that you care about so much, is up there in a psychotic state. And what she needs in somebody like you, to tell her everything is going to be okay. Be the nice guy for once and help your daughter. Can't you see that she's been screaming for you for years now?""Leave Kevin, you have no business being here." I could see tears in his eyes as he finally realized what was going on in his daughter's life. I knew that he had gotten my point so I turned around and went home."Leighton hunny?" He thought his clerk had wheeled it inside, and the clerk thought Miller had. "None of us saw him take it," Miller said Tuesday. Miller was surprised the gorilla was missing because of its weight. "That had a platform in the bottom made out of cement. I had to wheel it out with the wheels on it. Then inside it had motors in it, and you plugged it in and the arms went up and down and it turned sideways," he said. "Who the hell would ever steal a gorilla as heavy as that thing was?" Miller said Tuesday. Miller believes the gorilla may be hiding in a teenager's bedroom, and police suspect it may be holed up in some college students' apartment. "I don't know if it is exactly at the college," Sgt. Jeff Ingemi of the Maine State Police said Tuesday. "I think that it is more likely at a college apartment." Miller said he has owned the gorilla for about 10 years. He said it was valued at around $1,500. Miller's gorilla is a rubbernecker's delight as motorists pass by the store. "It is noticeable," Miller said. "How many people have a gorilla outside?" This is not the first time the gorilla has run into trouble, but it's the first time it has turned up missing. One time, Miller said, a customer ran into it in the store's parking lot. "He went downtown drinking and telling everybody, 'Hey, I just ran over Sandy's monkey,'" Miller said.
