Beyond Reality - Top Chef Chicago Recap - 5/28/08Last time Dale was sent home. Quickfire-guest judge-Rick Tramonto. Chefs must cut chops from racks of aged beef and french the bones. Then they must pack up their meat & return to the Top Chef kitchen. There they must cook it med rare in 30 mins. Bottom-Stephanie & Richard. Top-Lisa, Spike & Antonia. Spike won & gets to pick his proteins 1st in the elim challenge. Chefs must create an appetizer & entree each for Rick Tramonto's steakhouse. Tom will expedite-judges are Padme, Gail, Ted & VIPs, Harold, Ilan & Hung. The judges want a tasting menu. Lisa-Grilled & Chilled prawns, NY strip steak w/peanut butter mashed potatoes. Richard-Hamachi w/crispy sweetbreads, Beef filet w/potato puree & vegs. Spike-Seared scallops, Tomahawk chop w/sweet potato puree & brussels sprouts.
