What makes you a fan of the sport?Brigida: I like the pageantry of college football and college sports in general. I like how the student body and alumni come together to make it exciting to watch in person and on television. And the College Bands really fire you up.Tony: The college football season begins and I know the USC Trojans are a team you like to follow. Brigida: Since Pete Carroll took over as head coach for the Trojans I became a football fan. He moved the program to the top of College Football and brought in exciting teams with great players like Carson Palmer and Reggie Bush. I was more of a baseball fan growing up going to Dodger games. I can tell you that USC Football turned me on to the sport. Tony: OK now its time for Brigida's Chick Pick. You are looking at USC Trojans at Virginia Cavaliers Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM EST to be televised regionally by ABC with the USC Trojans favored by 19.Brigida: We found out today that Mark Sanchez was cleared by doctors and will start for USC. He has a very strong arm. Plus their running backs are outstanding with Stafon Johnson, C.J. Gable, Joe McNight and Stanley Havili. Virginia is only bringing back ½ their starters and hasn't named a starting quarterback as of our taping. USC's combination and running and passing will be too much for the Cavaliers. Plus USC always has a strong defense so no concerns here. Take USC minus 19 points. They will cover this.
