Why Did Not Some One Else Mine After The Historic Comstock?

President Nixon lifted the peg that held back gold mining. Prior to that - gold mining had stopped, only one mining company in operation during era before the 1960s.1872 mining laws developed in the Comstock and Butte, Montana predicated Mining Laws throughout the USA which determined the small size of claims in the late 1800s. Historic Comstock had scattered ownership - 130 public companies.Apparently as mining laws changed, larger claim areas were permitted.Next to last, predecessors to Goldspring movment in the Comstock, consolidated sectors of the Nevada Comstock into several different big blocks.Goldspring aquired those consolidations.
